I recently picked up a Lexicon Super Prime Time, which came without a
manual, and I've got a question about the way the feedback (regen)
controls for each delay line work.
I supposed the Prime Time II operates in the same fashion, since it has
the same basic controls so if you have one of those I'll take your
advice as well.
I am not using the onboard mixer, I am running each delay line (A and
B) output to a separate channel on my console.
What I wanted to do was set up a short delay, with no feedback, and
then a long delay with a slight amount of feedback, then I'd unmute the
return on the long delay as needed.
What I am finding is that when I increase the feedback on the long
delay, it feeds signal into the "A" Delay output, but it only seems to
be the regenerated "B" delay, not the main signal from the "B" delay.
I haven't tried it the other way (using A for long and B for short) but
I'm assuming the results would be similiar.
Is this the way these things work? Or is something wrong with my unit?
It'a almost like I'm getting crosstalk between the delay lines, but
this only happens when I turn up the regen.
