to save potential trouble

i just bought a 120Gb Maxtor HD, 8Mb cache 7200rpm etc
i seem to remember hearing that there can be trouble had getting windows to recognise such a large hard disk, is this possible. i am planning to do a fresh install of winXP Pro tomorrow, might i run into problems?
