Hi! First of all I'm not sure if this is the proper category, but it is bluetooth related so here it is anyway. My problem is more of an annoyance really. Normally if i want to send a file through bluetooth to say my friends laptop, cell, etc. all i have to do is right click on a file, go to send to, then bluetooth devices, after that all i have to do is click on which device i have to send it to. Easy right? well a few months back whenever i right click, send to, then bluetooth device, it now asks me for 1) if i want to send or receive 2) where the file is 3) what device to send to.

Obviously, thats a whole lot more clicking than i normally do. It didn't bother me then, but lately i've been using bluetooth to transfer a lot of files, and its starting to get on my nerves. Do you guys know how to fix it?

Im using vista home premium by the way, in case that helps. :)

Hello wintertears

I had the same problem for several days, anyhow I found a solution and it won't take many steps.

First of all you should get the basic knowledge that Send To --> Bluetooth Device is just a short cut under %userprofile%\sendto, for an 2000/XP user it is C:\Documents and Settings\[here is your user name]\SendTo. Another way to go to this directory is Win+R --> sendto --> enter.

Since the send to bluetooth function is not act as its "perfect" way, the first thing I would like to do is to copy a "good" shortcut.
Just do this:
1. add a new windows user. That is, start --> control pannel --> user account (i hope the path is correct here because my operating system use chinese) --> add user. I added a temp admin here.
2. login the new added user and copy the send to bluetooth shortcut. That is, Win+L --> login new added user --> Win+R --> key in "send to" then "enter" --> copy "bluetooth device" to another folder so that you can find later
3. go back to your current user and delete the temp user.
4. copy the shortcut to your %userprofile%\SendTo

now enjoy your bluetooth device. Good Luck.

i tryed Win+R --> sendto --> enter. but it come up with access is denied. C:\Users\*Username*\SendTo is not accessible.
