Re-installing OS question

Hello

I'm planning to do a reformat of my System Drive w/c is Drive:C to do a re-install of my OS and my question is; is it ok to just reformat Drive:C and leave Drive where all my files are including my steam folder?

Yes, but if you reinstall Windows it will require you to reinstall all programs.
