I have a shuttle X and when I shut it down, the num locks light turns on and sometimes the Caps lokc does to. I am using a Dell Quitekey keyboard. XP With all the latest Patches. My fear is that the light is running off the bios battery. Any ideas would be great.

do you have 'wake on keyboard' or something like that enabled in the bios? If so set it to disable and see if the light goes out. If it is a usb keyboard and the disable doesnt work you might have a short somewhere in the usb connection.

unplug the computer from the wall and wait a few minutes, if the light goes out then have no fear, if after a few min it stays on, then you may have a problem, but i doubt this is the case (bat. powering keyboard.
