I want to buy a Toyota Tacoma that comes with Bluetooth technology. The steering wheel has a set of buttons for answering the phone. Toyota uses a company called LetsTalk .

The concept is cool, but I have several concerns:

1. Can the truck's Bluetooth firmware or hardware be upgraded in the future?
2. If the answer to #1 is NO, can I expect a Bluetooth phone 10 years from now to be able to communicate with the truck?
3. What happens if this LetsTalk company crashes and burns?

I'm worried I will be screwed. I don't want technology that will be obsolete in the forseeable future.

What should I do?
