I have recently updated my Audigy 2 drivers as I was pissed off about the fact that I could not get DVD Audio in Windows ME. Also the SB Audigy Synth A never worked and I had to manage with a Microsoft Software Synth. This was OK in games but it never worked in the Soundfont program and it never stayed on for long.

Finally an update has been released but I have now lost various catergories in the EAX Console when choosing an environment. I can find some of them but everything has been rearranged. Worse still, when I select an option nothing happens and if I choose an option which changes the pitch or doesnt use the original sound in its preset then I hear nothing!

How can I restore my EAX control panel to its original state without loosing the benefits of my updated drivers? (DVD Audio, Longer lists in Creative Mediasource, SB Audigy synth A now works and stays on in all programs)

Just cos I am a semi skinhead it does not mean that I am a semi PC Guru. I am 25% PC Guru, 15% Thug and 10% Alcoholic!!!

Try contacting Creative's useless tech support. The only two Creative products I've ever used are an old ISA SB-16 and an SBLive! 5.1 value, and both worked fine with factory drivers. Ever since then, however, I've never used them. I've gone the way of Guillemot and Hercules for my sound needs, and have never looked back.
