Which kind of speakers should I use?

Hi all

I have just bought a Creative SB Audigy2 sound card, but I'm still using my old 2.1 speakers which I think is not suitable for this super sound card. So, what kind of speakers should I choose for this sound card? I mainly use it to play games and some times watch DVDs too.
Thanks a lot!

What's your budget? If you have the dough I highly recommend the Klipsch ProMedia 5.1.

I have that Sound Card - providing you can get your head around the IRQ conflicts that I suffered, it is a great sound card. 2.1 system will do you no favours. Its like having a Geforce FX 5900 and plugging in a 15" unit - complete waste.

I have never heard of the Klipsch ProMedia 5.1, I assume they are a decent set. They dont make the most of a 6.1 option availible so if you have £99 to spare then get the Creative Inspire 6.1 6700 Speakers. If you have more then get the Creative Megaworks 6.1 650D - They have a THX rating which will exhaust the Audigy 2's potential. They are magnetically shielded and they have about 600w power - enough to rock your living room!
