Hi, I am wondering the best way to rip a DVD onto my hard drive. I have several I would like to put on. With some effort I got 2 of them on (they were WMV files and I could add them via media player) The one I'm having problems with right now is one I made from a vhs tape. I do have the files on my computer (It shows up as two files VIDEO_RM & VIDEO_TS) but if you try to play it through windows media player it says "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file" How do I convert these to WMV so I can use Windows media player? I downloaded a freeware Any Video Converter, but either I don't know how to do it, or it won't work for this type. :??:
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium.
Thanks for any help you can give..
