only two of my four speakers work properly

I've got some logitech z-560 speakers, and they worked just fine untill i reinstalled the soundcard drivers and software. the soundcard is creative SB live! 5.1 digital. i've changed the settings in the surround mixer to 4 speakers, but only the front speakers work. i'm sure they are properly connected.

how can i fix this?

If you've checked the settings in the mixer, you also need to make sure windows is setup correctly. goto start - control panel - sounds (depending on windows version) - under speaker settings I believe hit advanced.

You can also check the Logitech site. I'm sure they have a FAQ for that.
