Bluetooth Development

I write as a novice looking for exposure to the development environment... specifically bluetooth voice command of devices not limited to mobile devices nor the microsoft mobile platform. I own visual studio studio professional and seek guidance on where one can acquire appropriate code to include both proprietary and open source. My goal is to import the code into the development environment to dissect the code lines for the experience. Looking for guidance from one who has exposure to all of the above with some instruction as to how to tie these elements together.
