I asked one of my active ham radio friends if he could find out if
Richard's doing emergency communication (or any communication). His
call is NF5B if anyone else is active on the air and wants to try to
track him down via radio.

Richard Webb? The Electric Spider? Are you sure you're not thinking of
Richard Hess, the archivist guy? I haven't noticed anything from
Richard Webb on the Ampex List in quite a while, if ever.

Perfectly natural mistake - they're both four letters, with my eyes,
some days H and W look about the same, and of course all double letters
are the same. <g>
