Hey guys,
I've just been given some PC4200 DDR RAM, but unfortuntely my brand new and expensive motherboard only supports PC2100 RAM. My question is this! Is there any way at all to get the 4200 DDR RAM to work in my system at PC2100 speed?
I realise the motherboard doesn't support PC4200 DDR RAM, but I was hoping there would be a way to enable the RAM to work with my system, until I upgrade a few years down the track with a motherboard that supports PC4200 RAM speeds.
Would that work? Or will I have to purchase PC2100 DDR RAM now for my existing motherboard, and then go ahead and purchase a new motherboard in the future, to use my PC4200 DDR RAM in?
Thanks heaps!
