Im looking into buying some ram, and I need a little help. I know I want PC3200 ram, and atleast a gig of it. Is there anything else I need to know? Is there anything else that defines the speed of the ram? And also, whos a good company to buy good quality ram from? Thanks.

The Latency of the RAM :
should at least be 2.5 for better overclocking

The quality of the RAM :
Corsair / OCZ

THe number of channels that the mobo can support :
if you have a mobo (for ex. nForce2) which supports dual channel, it's recommended using two ram modules on the mobo instead one.

and for a desktop system:
Unbuffered non-ECC ram is certainly more important.

Well im mainly a gamer, and I want the high performance stuff. I dont overclock ram, nor do I plan to, although I do plan on overclocking my processor. What does ram have to do with overclocking a processor, anyways?

EDIT: Well I think Im gonna get this stuff: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?description=20-144-114

...as in you can fit 4 sticks of ram... that ram is good but if you're going to spend that kind of money I'd probably go with corsair xms ram. They have a chart on their website that you can look up what kind of ram you should get based on your motherboard's chipset and if you're a gamer etc. Corsair is a really good company for making ram for gamers...overclockers and nerds like us

Will work IT for food. Seriously.
