I have posted this problem on the hardware Nvidia forum, but I am not sure if this is a hardware problem. In my Windows 7 system, the monitor has lately displayed a delay before
showing the desktop or previous screen before the screen saver kicked in. When activating the screen by moving the mouse, returning from sleep mode, or returning from a reboot, the
Windows 7 screen does not appear for a few minutes, just showing the ACER monitor logo. I have been doing the Windows Updates regularly, but they could even be the source of this problem. Running diagnostics in Windows and checking the hardware indicates no problems. I have made no hardware additions prior to this problem appearing. Is this problem common with Windows 7 and how do people work around it?
I'm wondering if this problem is somehow related to the Sleep Function. I have had trouble in the past with certain devices hung on my USB ports that screwed up the Sleep. Could something in a recent Windows Update caused this problem?
