From the beginning i have MS security essentials and i updated it and scanned fully...
No virus or trojan found.

Then last week i installed Malwarebytes and scanned... it caught 19 threads... so i removed those by malwarebytes... but still i have Delete icon problem when mouse point on any icon.
I used McAfee....but problem not solved....

Also another problem along with that is when i open any text file or word file, the cursor start to delete the content line by line and clear all contents/text until it goes blank?????

On internet i found not any good solution, which could help me out?????

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem. I've done everything mentioned above, and no luck.

Here are the symptoms in detail:

1. When icons are clicked, they are asked to be deleted. A pop-up window appears multiple times, maybe 20-50 times, asking if you want to delete a the particular icon you clicked. the obvious option would be "no", so you click no multiple times as well. I sometimes use task manager to just close all of them at one go.

2. When I do open the task bar, whatever I click on that, even without clicking end process, is automatically closed. With processes, it asks to end process immediately. But when I do try to end that particular process, another window pops-up saying error.

3. In any program that I use, say microsoft word or excel, it auto-deletes wherever the cursor goes. Say you have one line on an word file, one sentence, if your click in the middle of the sentence, it autodeletes everything that comes after.

4. I use Autocad and that delete thing is also there. The moment I click on any drawing, it automatically deletes it without any command.

5. Lastly, in browsers, when I type anything into the address box, even to search, it's fine. However, when I try to type in the search box, there every letter will have a space, or maybe even more.

This is really annoying. I've tried malwarebytes, microsoft security essentials, etc., all listed above, none worked. What did happen is it worked with Malwarebytes for a while (I had to clean everytime I used my computer). But after a week or so, nomatter what I do to clean, the problem is just there. Tried AVG, Malwarebytes, Malware Fighter, etc., No luck.

I'm really annoyed at this point and need solutions. HELP PLEASE! Even just to identify what virus this is.

Thank you and I look forward to your assistance.

PS. so far, this is the only forum this problem has been posted on. I've looked everywhere.

Ok i am thinking there is some hiding in your %appdata% or your %temp% folder.

In your %temp% folder remove every thing in there.

Then check your %appdata% folder for any thing out the ordinary.

Just tap the delete key about 3-4 times because it is stuck. Try tapping around the delete key if tapping it doesn't work.

This worked when I had the exact same problem.
