is there a way to know who is the maker of my memory . The name is not writen on it. (btw: it is ddr-400 memory, 512mb ,1 chip)

Try <A HREF="http://www.aida32.hu/aida-download.php?bit=32" target="_new">AIDA32</A>. There should be much information available about your memory in the Motherboard->SPD section.
