  1. You should be able to just pop in the Windows 7 disk and install it. I haven't looked it up, so if this computer has no optical disk drive, then you can put Windows 7's install files onto a USB flash drive from the install DVD with one of the many tools for doing so (there are even official tools from MS for this). You would boot from it after plugging it in no different from how you would boot from the CD, unless the BIOS for that computer doesn't support booting from USB drives. In that case, you might need a USB-connected optical disk drive.
