Has anyone seen this?

They have a comparison between it and the R-1 and the Microtracker.
Any thoughts on this?

Close, but no cigar. It's an Archos portable recorder and a mic preamp
stuck in what looks like a Pelican case. The mic preamp looks like it's
designed for a consumer stereo mic and not a studio-grade mic. It has
plug-in power rather than phantom, (probably) a mini jack rather than
XLR connectors, and not enough gain (50 dB max) for me.

Thanks for the response. I was thinking of using the Edirol R-1 along
with the Rode NT-4. What do you think would be the better combo:

Edirol R-1 + Rode NT-4

or

SP-Gigatracker + Rode NT-4

Application would be for recording a solo instrument (guitar).

Thanks!
