hello
I have a 32 ch 8 bus mackie and a 24E expanion mackie console.
They are connected via a 40 pin (i think) cable. Due to some changes in my
control room , i
need a longer cable. Does anyone know where i could find one?
thank you

It will have to be made (and I think it's a 37 pin connector). You
won't find one. But I think you should consider arranging things so
that you don't need a longer cable. The two units were designed to work
together as a single console. If you only have to extend it a couple of
feet, you'll find that the cost of having a new cable made will be very
discouraging. I'd guess at a couple of hundred bucks minimum (the
length of the cable is barely relevant - the cost is in the connectors
and the labor). If you want to extend it 25 feet or so, you might have
problems with noise and hum. It's an unbalanced connection.

I would strongly suggest that you re-think the layout of your control
room to accommodate the original cable unless this change is really,
really important.
