Hmm HD RAID

So I am hearing from a co worker of mine that RAID (the one where u setup as level 0) is actually "safer" than w/o RAID? But my argument is that if one HD goes bad, you lose ALL data!!! What do you think of this? Is there any validity in his claim?

  2. Yeah, he's talking out his ass. RAID 1 (mirrored) is safer as the data is automatically backed up the second HDD, although it effectively halves the amount of storage space available to you.
