I have recently updated my IBM thinkpad R40 laptop from win xp to win 7 .I am facing problem with ethernet ,Audio ..................
How can I solve ...................

Back to XP. There is no win 7 driver for it.

Go on driver packs and download the windows 7 driver packs for everything you are missing, then unzip them and burn them to a disc and search for them in device manager. If you get ethernet, you could also try windows updates afterwards and you might get lucky on a few drivers. Also, you will probably have more luck with drivers on 32-bit.
