I have a problem with a few endgame tablebases from Hyatt's ftp.
The md5sums are ok, so it seems there is no corruption during
the transmission. Some of them (namely kbpkbp, knpknp, krbkbp
from 33p directory) don't work. There may be others that don't
work because I haven't downloaded all of them. Crafty (v19.19)
spits out a message saying
"*** ./kbpkbp.6.nbw.emd corrupted 1073741824 557981056 278990528"
and quits. So I had to move these corrupted(?) tablebases from
the tablebase directory. Does anybody know what's wrong with
these tablebases (kbpkbp, knpknp, krbkbp) ?

Those TBs are fairly recent ones (pawn on each side).
Crafty 19.19 may not be tuned to them. Wait for a newer version (which may
exist already).
I had similar problems checking KQP-KQP with Wilhelm. See my posts on CCC.
After some mail exchange the author offered me an upgrade (soon to be posted
on his website ?) and now everything is OK :))
