Deleting printer ports

I need to reinstall a print server software. However, when I uninstalled the same software, it did not remove the printer ports. (Should it have?)

Anyway, now when I try to reinstall the print server software, it tells me that I need to remove the pre-existing ports from the list first. I have tried but unsuccessful. The error keeps telling me that the ports cannot be deleted. I have cleaned out the temp folder, restarted the machine, but the printer ports refused to be removed. How can I remove the printer ports using other means?
