Hi!

For some time now I wonder what happend to SCID
(http://scid.sourceforge.net).

The last update of the page is from april last year
announcing 3.6.1, plainning 3.7 for March 2004 and 4.0 for
March/April 2004. Well ok, it takes always a lot longer than
one first thinks, but well. And as the author didn't answer
any of my mails, maybe someone here knows about the future
of this excellent program?

Thanks for the pointer! :)

Are you involved in further development? The site is a bit
thin and my swedish would need a certain upgrade to
understand parts of it... Sorry for that ;)

Quite some time ago I made a suggestion to Shane how to
include support for a DGT board, and actually if someone
would be there who knows the source of Scid and Tcl/Tk
(which I both don't know) it should actually be pretty easy.

I enhanced crafty's dgt-interface to speak a bit more xboard
or uci so with a few additions scid can learn to utilize the
HUI as it already knows how to speak xboard. Right now I had
some reason to take up this old project again and it's in a
"working condition" meaning that it already plays nicely
with xboard. (The main idea was to use xboard as a bridge
between the DGT and [place your favourite chess engine
here].) Think the enhanced interface only nees some
additional polishing/testing to work still perfectly with
crafty in native mode as well. (Didn't check yet wether I
broke something.)
