when i bought my H.P Pro book Laptop i could install any game below 1gb and it it plays fine e.g PES 09 Xbox360 but when i formatted my system i discovered that if i install same game it would tell me "application stop working" how do i make this right....

get windows fully updated.
get drivers fully updated. the gpu drivers in particular.

if those 2 don't work try messing around with the compatibility settings by right clicking on the exe -> properties -> compatibility. that worked for my fallout installs
