My new small control room is still in construction and I had to improvise a
setup to be able to check out this new toy. Also, I couldn't put the
monitors
anwhere near the optimum position so I probably couldn't hear all the
nuances, but...... I like it. It seems to be exactly what I was hoping for -
what could be realistically hoped for -
the functionality and value of the RNC with some pleasant coloration as a
bonus, but not too much of it. Reasonably smooth and
velvety, well behaved, good amount of control - certainly above average for
a
levelling amp. Sufficiently clean and quiet at conservative settings. Log
Rel
mode functions well with drums. Again, it was a quick test in less than
ideal conditions and I have yet to directly compare it to the RNC.

What are your impressions?
