u will get a instant 5% increase by useing 1gig. for games like HL2 1gig of good ram is a must. its worth buying and running it duel channell which is a 10-20% increase on top of that.

Thanks, and Do u think a XP B2800+ will affect the performance much more, or XP B2500+ is enough for recent use?

I am going to OC from 2500+ to 200FSB which i probely could have a 3200.

What i wanna to know if i could oc a XP b2800+, what speed i could problly have? becouse some friends told me xP B2800+ is not good for Overclocking.

there is not too much of a difference. if you want to really OC buy a 2.4c which is about the same price as a 2800. if you want to stick with AMD buy a 2500 and overclock to a 2800. even if you dont OC there is not too much of a performance diffence, only a few frames in most games.

2.6C is better than 2.4C and Intel sells them for the same price since the Oct. 24 price reductions.

That would make sense if Intel quite producing them!

Intel pricing seems a bit weird, the celeron 1.2 i bought was 5 bux cheeper from googlegear than a celery 1.1a (hence why i bought the 1.2 over the 1.1a)

BTW i think its interesting to note that intel is definitly still manufacturing tualatin cores, my cpu was packaged in 5/16/03

If it isn't a P6 then it isn't a procesor

HL2 runs plenty fine on 512 MB PC 2700.

For that, you could probably get away with a 250W supply, although 300 is a good minimum. However, since the 350 and 400 watters aren't much more, you may as well go with them for future proofing.
