PC3200 would be the choice. Corsair TwinX1024-3200LL, Kinston HyperX, OCZ, etc etc are available. Try to get identical or matched pairs.

do you feel that the high end corsair, kingston, mushkin, ocz are more or less all comparable. or is there one that has greater performance and/or greater compatibility with mobo's?

For intense overclocking with the nForce2 chipset I'd suggest quality DIMMs built with Winbond Rev B chips: Mushkin PC3500 Level II Black or OCZ EL PC3500 Platinum Limited Edition, for example.

Set memory timings to 2-2-2-11.

BTW, all those brand said above can do at least 2-2-2-5, even my TwinMOS DDR400 can do 2-2-2-6 when at 200Mhz

A lot of nForce2 overclockers are reporting higher performance by setting Cycle Time (Tras) to 11 - other timings at 2. There's some example memory timings in this thread.

Is that using it on a Corsair or OCZ or Mushkin LevelII?

Corsair XMS PC3500 C2, Mushkin Level II Black and the OCZ PC3500 EL Platinum Limited Edition modules all contain Winbond Rev B chips.
