New drivers with EAX4.0 support, I have the audigy 1 and think they gave eax4 to us also judging from the driver name.
But they didnt put EAX4 in the new features for the audigy 1 cards so maybe they just dont want to publicize it?

LOL still getting the squeal of death in COD under EAX3.0 what a joke.

Creative will never get another dollar out of me.

Don't bash me now for this suggestion, but for the Audigy 1 would your original CD installation drivers work rice krispy free, just curious?

The reason I posted that was I had considered trying to go back to the installation CD when I was in a delima with my Audigy drivers, before I changed to the TBSC, but I kept thinking the updated drivers was the way to go, and kept trying to get the problem solved through the updated drivers, and to the best of my memory can't remember whether I'd retried the original CD installation drivers, or not.

I dont even remember. I suppose I could try them.
I didnt remember this being an issue before with the nforce. Its been a struggle since I bought the thing but the crackling is something new. And the problem seems most prominent in EAX3.

Some have said to install the Audigy2zs drivers over the audigy1 and that fixes alot of problems.

Even if it did it wouldnt give me enough comfort to recommend nor buy another creative product.. but I'm trying to hold out and see how the nvidia soundcard works out.

I'm not sure. Crash said next product cycle, so spring? I hope so.

I'm too curious to see if they are going to go head to head with creative with some kind of new a3d or just make money offering a creative alternative for now, which would make them money anyway.
Either way I like NV a lot and want to use their card..
I have my onboard 2channel realtek thing if the audigy starts crashing my system more and more..
