OCZ (2x256) = 167 (copper)
Kingston hyperX (2x256)= 224
Corsair XMS (2x256)= 188 (2x256 3500/433)= 269

what one would bring the highest oc'ing abilities? and the price must be considered, im on a tight budget

as far as i know the OCZ, but they should all do a great job as they are all quality ram sticks. for price over performance the kingston easily wins as it is much cheaper than the others.

actually the Corsair is the cheapest, and the mobo is gonna be a Asus A7V8X-X with a Barton 2500+ jammed in it. So, keeping in mind all that stuff again, please post your best

Take a look at the Geil PC 3500. I found it for less than the Corsair PC 3200.

Some day I'll be rich and famous for inventing a device that allows you to stab people in the face over the internet.

Holy Sh!t. I gotta add my two cents on this. Why is that site the only place you can buy stuff? You said your friend can get you stuff from there? Inquiring minds want to know how your friend can get you stuff from there and nowhere else because son, you're getting raped on prices. Like, "Deliverance" style. I just checked out their prices on CPU's. WTF! P4 2.6c for $288.00??? Who are these guys? I just bought a 2.6C for $175 (retail) and a Maxtor DiamondMax Plus9 120 GB SATA HD for $110 at ZipZoomFly. Also picked up an Abit IC7-G for $155.00 (one day sale at NewEgg) and Geil 2X256 PC4000 Platinum (rated up with OCZ PC4000) for $145. And everything had free shipping. Are you SURE there's no other way?? No older friends with plastic that can order stuff for you and you can give them cash? Besides, I'd stay away from a place called MysteryByte. It's a friggin' "mystery" they're even in business. That place just has bad news written all over it...

yo soccerdude, was that necessary? I skimmed over the friggin' thread too fast and missed a wee bit of important info called "Nova Scotia." That, and when I went to the site, I just checked the processor price and closed it out. Now that I went back for a second look, I noticed the lovely "CAD" above the prices. Bottom line: do the US/CA conversion and the 2.6c at that site still costs $220 USD which is still about $45 USD over typical prices down here. Sorry bout the mixup and missing the fact that you're in NS. Didn't know you guys had it so rough up there. Good luck and I hope everything works out for ya.

Ok your price for kingston hyperx is wrong. Go to www.shopkingston.com and they have a special going on. you can get 2x512mb of pc3200 for $206 with free shipping, so i would say thats the best deal.
