Mcintosh will repair/rebuild your speakers reasonably. Call their 800
number and ask for tech support. Don't replace those drivers except with
the correct McIntosh drivers. If you do, the speakers won't sound right.

Nothing beats the bandwidth of a station wagon filled with DLT tapes.
I have a pair of McIntosh XL1 spkrs one of which I had reconed by Audio Classics last year.Since I live in Canada so besides having to pay for the repair and shipping I also got zapped for Brokerage fees which made the repair quite expensive so I wonder if there is a place in Canada that will recone the other speaker? I hear it is a dying art.
