Let me play the Devil's advocate and point out that, if you are running a
network and not just a single PC, you may find that a Bluetooth "access
point" may be far more useful and far simpler to get up and running.
From another response I posted earlier:
"Frankly, when I was messing around with this whole Bluetooth thing, I found
it much easier and far more productive to buy a Bluetooth "access point"
(Belkin F8T030, currently availalbe on eBay for $126.80) which connects
directly to my router/gateway and therefore functions independently of any
PC. In fact, all of my PC's can be turned off and I *still* get Internet
access via the BT access point/router/gateway combination. Much easier to
setup and configure."

It's just for a single PC at home so that I can access web from a couch.
:-)
I found an article about BT class I and II and about these models but still
not sure which model to buy.
All have advantages and disadvantages. As always.
Tnx anway.

Newer Bluetooth Class I adapters support a range of 100 meters (about 328
ft) instead of the older Class II, 10 meter devices. Problem is, your Palm
is a Class II device, limited to a 10 meters (about 33 ft) range, no matter
which device you buy for your PC. And that's assuming no walls between your
PC and your couch.
I had personally tested an ioGear GBU301 Class I adapter (about $40 - $50) .
It worked. Overall, however, I wasn't real pleased with the experience and
decided to switch to the access point mentioned in my previous message.
