I own the SDS; using it with an Aries turntable. It is not real easy to
quantify the effect of the SDS. I've never spent much time listening
without some kind of power regulation. I first used a PS Audio P-300 before
I got the SDS.
One advantage of the SDS is the ability to make very fine speed adjustments.
Also, if you play many 45s, it is very easy to use the switch on the SDS to
change from 33 to 45. Perhaps others can better describe sonic differences
they have or have not heard with the SDS. The Aries sounded good without
it...and it sounds good now. My assessment is that the improvement is
subtle at best.
