I read about a technology that will most probably change the way we live, again! This technology is a substance called graphene that has been said to be "200 times stronger than steel" and "conduct electricity better than any material known to man. The discoverers of graphene, Konstantin Novoselow and Andre Geim, won the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize. Graphene will eventually replace silicon as main transistors, IBM computers has created a whopping 100GHz graphene transistor and plans on completing a 1THz transistor soon.

This is quite amazing, as my current computer runs on a measly 2.5 GHz.

The article where I read it is here:

What are your thoughts? Any skeptical oppositions?

I need to strap some of that on my bumper. How much does it cost per gram? do I get a discount per kilo? :)

graphene is only 1 atom thick though, so it might be hard to use it well enough to make a thz cpu because it would be so hard to see and you wouldnt even feel it because it would be so thin. however, if somebody managed to make a cpu with it, it could be more powerful and lighter and more resistand than ever, but i wanna know what the pins will look like, gotta be really thin if your gonna use graphene.
