Many motherboard manufacturers list 4GB as the limit for an Intel 875 based motherboard. Where does one go to get 1GB PC3200 or above DDR chips? Since it's the 875 chipset, do I have to get ECC/Non ECC, Buffered, Registered... !!?? Has anyone actually done this?
The application I am using needs LOTS of ram. I can't give you any more details than that. I have 6 systems all with top end P4s, graphics cards etc. and each one has 2GB of ram. It's not enough. I need a system with 4GB. Any suggestions?
Hey,
What kind of memoey do you have now. (4) 512 sticks. I'm buying new memory. Do you want to sell some CHEAP. E-mail me with the details (Manufacture & Model No.) if you are.
Thanks,

steve, I'm not selling anything just yet. Just adding to my armada of computers. The memory I have varies. Most of the new systems have Kingston Hyper X in them.
I understand that HardwareBoss. Didn't mean to offend anyone. I am tossing around all kinds of ideas right now. Get a regular P4 with 4GB of RAM, a Xeon perhaps, an Athlon 64 (but they are coming out with a new socket soon so I won't get this until then), an FX (just a bit too expensive).
I don't need Raid, I don't need dual CPUs, I just need lots of RAM and a good video card basically.
