I have a soyo dragon lite with AMD 2100+ and 2100 DDR. Because I wanted to keep down CPU heat, I set the CPU to 200 mHz and kept memory at 266 mHz. The reason here is that memory is supposed to be the biggest bottleneck.

After benchmarking, I found that the 200/266 setup was much slower than a 200/200 setup. Why is that?

thx

For this platform, when FSB and MCLK are not in sync performance-killing latency is introduced.

lower FSB to keep temperature down?
so does that really work?
