After reading the article on making an LCD into a projector, a few friends of mine and I tried it with an old 15" LCD from a manufacturer named Kogi. After we had the thing all dissassembled, we found two problems.

1) The circutry behing the monitor had to be bent back and out of the way to allow light to shine through the monitor.

2) When we bent these back and away, we found that there was a contact connection bridging the two boards. Bending the boards back and away from the screen broke the connection, and there was no place to solder on to to extend it....

So now comes the fun part of putting it all back together again and crossing our fingers and hoping it works.

But hopefully, this will save some people the trouble of taking them all apart and finding out it's not going to work.
