Currently I own a Xelo SP1702 17" LCD. Its a cheap monitor that boosts 2 year old samsung technology of 25ms. My main gripes about this monitor are:
- My eyes are very sensible to brightness. I have the brightness to 10 out of 100 and still get tired eyes on long use. I have no idea wether if this is specific of this cheap monitor or because the high brightness of lcd screens.
- I am completly blind on dark scenes, either watching movies/tv or playing games. I know CRT are better in this respect but i need an LCD and i need to minimize this effect as much as possible.
- I dont care about horizontal view angles, but i would like a wide vertical view angle.
My use of the computer is:
50% desktop use
30% movies/tv
20% gaming
Currently im looking into these lcd screens:
Syncmaster 710T
LG 1720P
Price is not an issue as long as it is justified
I would like to hear experinces with these monitors as well as other recommendations.
