Hi all,

Just wondering if any ideas on the following:

I just got a new Pioneer 106r I think it is. It installed fine and runs dvd's and cd's, the works, but it refuses to play any audio for dvd's.

Now at first I thought maybe that cable that runs from the the soundcard was the prob but once I attached it it didnt help.

I have enabled and disabled digital audio, no help.

I have checked all the audio tabs all are unmuted and at loudest volume.

The drive is running UDMA.

The drive is running as slave and a Lite-on cdrw drive is running as master.

Now does this problem sound like a hardware problem ie something im not doing or selecting or

Does it sound like a software prob ie when I put the first dvd in some program called Interactual (i think) installed and that runs the dvd's. could this just be [-peep-]?

I will admit I haven't troubleshooted it much as I didn't have the time when I installed it last night but I would mind any hints as to what could be the prob.

I run Win2k and sound card is audigy2

cheers

Wolfy

Prob solved... was just using a [-peep-] dvd decoder.
