I bought Seagate 120G hd about week ago and i have noticed that it vibrates quite alot, all the time, with low "humm" sound. So is it normal that disk is spinning so, that its quite impossible to prevent my chassis shakin too? :D. Nearly feels like car is drivin under my window. Now I use that hd out of my chassis but no difference. Otherwise that hd works fine and is nearly soundless when writing.

My other hd is maxtor 60G diamondmax 9 7200, and even if it is much louder in work, its not nearly as annoying than seagate.

So is there somethin wrong with that hd or do I just have to live with it?

I have never noticed a Seagate hard drive of the 3.5" variety to shake a case!

I suppose it could.

Are you absolutely sure that it is the hard drive, and NOT something else!

I have had many older high speed CD-ROM's shake a case, but NEVER a Seagate 3.5" hard drive.

That doesnt sound good.
Given that seagate drives are designed to run silent (and presumably vibration free as well), one could assume that the motor bearings have gone bad.

I would get any important data off it and RMA it as soon as you can.

Problems like that just get worse with time.
