I know within this group there can be lively debate between objectivists
and subjectivists. I was curious what opinions were out there on
Analysis Plus cables since the company claims the design of their cables
is the result of testing and measurement, both of materials and geometry.
I am not of a EE background and not qualified to pass judgment. For
those of you with such a background, what do you think of the design and
the sound of Analysis Plus cables?

The design is perfectly valid, but in almost all cases, the sound will
be identical to that of any other cable of roughly similar gauge. At
audio frequencies, experience shows that 'wire is wire'.

I have seen a demonstration using an ocilloscope to "view" the
results. I am not impressed by measurements. I have heard them and
found them as suitable as many as far as sound goes. I have
reterminated them and found the materials and construction to be not
to my liking and not the easiest to work with. All advertising is by
definition hype, but the cables work; so to answer your questions in
your header directly: yes & yes.
