What's a tiny blue dot on a Flat Panel mean? I just got these new Flat Panel Monitors and noticed toward the center of the screen there is this blue dot always. Is that what a Dead Pixel looks like?

You have two Sony monitors, correct? If the blue dot is present on both monitors, I find it highly unlikely that it is a dead pixel, especially if the dot is in the same place on both.
If its only on one monitor, you probably have a dead blue sub pixel (stuck in the always on position). I'd try to exchange the monitor if you can.

You can also try to rub the pixle out if it is a stuck pixle (sounds like it). Just be careful that you use a soft cloth (cloth baby diapers work good) so that you do not dammage the screen.

Crap, all the good ones are already taken.
