I have the similar question my friend and I have been using CRT all the time.

BTW I haven't found any screen which can deliver best gaming and movie performance at the same time.

Dell makes some great gaming LCDs. The 2001FP is 20.1" 1600x1200 and 12ms. The 2005FPW is 20.1" widescreen 1680x1050 and 12ms. I just bought the 2005FPW myself but it hasn't yet arrived. You can get a 25% off coupon code from the dellf (dell elf) or find it on some websites.

i was thinking of the Dell ultrasharps but they seem a bit too cheap to be good.

Dell LCD's are among the best you can buy, and best prices for sure.
Reviews are always on top.
