OK, OK, I know that at first glance you might think this belongs in the games or soundcard sections, but I have already posted it there to no avail and thought I'd post here in case some of you guys (and gals) might know if this is a XP issue.

My problem is that I have a PCI512 (which does support EAX), and whenever I select EAX in Soldier of Fortune2/Audio options the sound settings revert to None and there is no sound at all. If I leave the sound setting at DirectSound (I think that's what it was) then I have sound OK.

Might anyone know if this is a XP issue, and if there is anyway to get EAX working.

Thanks in advance....

Current Spec...

ASUS A7V333 + Raid (onboard audio disabled)
XP1900+
3 x 40Gb HD (2 in RAID)
512Mb PC2100 DDR
Creative PCI512 (which supports EAX)
Various other bits and bobs and a hell of a lot of fans....

I left my sig here somewhere - let me know if you find it.
