Video Card Decision

Basically, I would like to know how the Go 8600GT is going to compare to the go 7900GS in terms of gaming. I realize that the 8600 can support dx10 but that is not too important to me. I know that the 8600gt is not even in laptops yet so speculation is ok. I don't really know much about the desktop versions of the two cards so I don't know if comparing them even makes sense concerning the laptop cards. This may sound stupid but I want to get the right card. Thanks.

yeah i think that chart is not quite right. Asus G1S under Vista scored about 3800 points (8600GT 256MB version), overclocked version scored more than 5000 points in 3D Mark 06 http://forum.notebookreview.com/sh [...] tcount=123. Second is that you actually can buy quite few notebooks with 8600 series GPU's today. Most are from Asus, also powernotebooks.com takes pre-order to compal's HEL IFL90 Santa Rosa based which you can upgrade to 512MB version of 8600GT.
