I get some ghost or shadow images whenever I increase de resolution. It has nothing to do with frequency.

What could be the problem: my monitor (Sony CRT Multiscan E500), my graphic card (ATI 9800 pro), cables, the structure of my building, ... ?.

I don´t know where to start to look for the problem. By the way, are the quality of the image in flat panels better than this monitor. Perhaps the time has come for an upgrade.
