I have been shopping for a laptop for a couple of weeks now. I was leaning towards xoticpc.com as it seemed they had the best price vs. quality balance according to reviews. I found this though on newegg

I really had my hopes up until I noticed the laptop came from ibuypower. I do not need to go into all of the negative reviews they have floating around. On the other hand, newegg has always been fantasitc to me and consistently receives good reviews.

My question is, would I get the ibuypower price with the newegg satisfaction? It seems too good to be true.

No because in the end you still have to deal with an ibuypower product and ibuypower support. I don't think it would be worth the money you would save to have to deal with their crappy support in the end. XoticPC offers the same one and is only 100 bucks more when similarly configured (minus the WSXGA screen).
