Start Menu Pinned Items

Is it possible to create a menu on the pinned items section of the Windows XP
Start Menu. I have a folder with shortcuts to programs on the desktop. If I
drag this to the pinned items, it creates a link ok. WHen you click on this,
a new window opens showing all the shortcuts. What I would realy like is
when you move your mouse onto the shortcut, it opens up the items as a menu,
like the traditional items on All Programs (e.g. accessories, games). Is
this possible?
