I have 2 systems running WIN/ME sharing the internet connection using ICS.
All was working fine with dial up via a modem.
Here's what happened when I removed the modem, and installed a 2ed NIC card connected to an
ADSL modem.
Initially, ADSL worked fine, on the gateway system, and the local network was OK as far as file and
printer sharing, but the client couldn't connect to the internet.
Next, I reconfigured ICS on the gateway system, and at this point the local network died. couldn't
PING in either direction.
Next, I removed ICS from the gateway system via Control Panel/Add remove/Winsetup, and all ICS
entries from the Network Control panel, were also removed.
Still PING dosn't work, and IPCONFIG shows 0.0.0.0 for the local network NIC adapter.
Is there another way to remove ICS ? How do I re-activate my local network ?
